What should you pay attention to if eczema makes your life miserable?!
- Moisturize constantly
- Use cosmetics containing water-binding substances! (eg: betaine, sodium pca, sodium lactate, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, etc.)
- Use products containing emollient and occlusive ingredients (such as oils, lipids, ceramides, esters, emollients, butters, waxes, which help the skin retain water and support the lipids of your skin)
- Avoid fragrances!
It is very important to pay attention to the skin’s pH!
This is a slightly acidic value of around 4.6 - 5.5! This is very important from the point of view of a healthy acid mantle, because if the pH shifts even a little in the alkaline direction, it blocks the functioning of the enzymes that produce the skin's ceramides and other valuable lipids, and this leads to a negative chain reaction...
- The soap is alkaline, so we don't recommend it either.
- But the pH of plain water is not suitable for skin with eczema either
- After bathing, it would be necessary to adjust the pH value of the skin to the slightly acidic state in which the skin feels good.
- PHA products are great for your skin to restore the pH, for example.
- It can be useful to get a pH meter, because the pH question is really a pivotal point in the care of skin with eczema.
If you are allergic to the following, then avoid it!
- If you have a wool allergy, do not use creams containing lanolin!
- If you have a soy allergy, do not use cosmetics containing lecithin!
- If you have a latex allergy, do not use cosmetics containing shea butter!
- If you are allergic to honey, do not use products containing beeswax!
- Do not destroy the protective layer of your skin, the microbiome of its acid mantle, avoid aggressive surfactants and soaps, use sugar surfactant-based cleansers instead!
- Pay attention to proper re-moisturizing!
- Use cosmetics containing the same ingredients as your skin!
- Use cosmetics containing ceramide!
- Oat oil and all oat products are great.
